I am one of the lucky ones. I love my job.
It took me awhile to get here, traveling a path through advertising agencies and producing commercial photo shoots, but it led me to the best possible job in the world. Becoming a professional photographer and owning Riverbend Studio.
I grew up hearing the name Riverbend Studio all my life. My mother was an artist and brought Riverbend to life 25 years ago. When she passed away in 2000, I gave Riverbend a new life as a photography business. As one of my favorite brides said, “That’s some good mojo”. I agree. Thanks Mom.
Old black and white classic wedding photographs of my husband and my families decorate our dining room walls. When I see the history captured in those old photos ~ and how they have been cherished and carefully handed down through the generations ~ I get chills to think I can create those photographs for you and your family.
My husband, Phil, and I restored an old 1889 row house in Little Italy close to downtown Chicago. We took the garden level and turned it into a wonderful home office. Give me a call, I would love to meet you both. So would the world’s cutest dog ... Ollie.
